Hi, I’m Steph

If you’ve landed here, there’s a good chance your mind hasn’t been giving you much peace lately.

Maybe you’ve been stuck in loops of doubt, overthinking, or intrusive thoughts that just won’t let go no matter how hard you try to figure them out.

And if you’re honest, you’re probably exhausted.

Why I focus on OCD

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing OCD because it’s often misunderstood and frequently missed.

Many of the people I work with are high-functioning, thoughtful, and insightful. On the outside, they seem like they’re managing. But internally, they’re stuck in constant mental loops:

  • “What if I’m missing something?”

  • “I just need to figure this out”

  • “Once I feel certain, I’ll be okay”

Except the certainty never lasts.

Over time, this can become exhausting and isolating.

My approach (and why it works)

I use Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), a specialized, evidence-based approach designed specifically for OCD.

Instead of focusing only on managing anxiety or resisting compulsions, we look at how the doubt begins in the first place.

Because when you understand the process, you can step out of it.

Our work is:

  • Structured

  • Collaborative

  • Focused on real change

You will learn how to disengage from the patterns that keep you stuck.

For parents

I also work with parents of children with OCD.

If you’re a parent, you may feel like you’re constantly walking a line between helping and unintentionally reinforcing the cycle.

You’re not doing anything wrong, you just haven’t been shown a different way yet.

Together, we focus on how to respond in ways that support your child’s progress while reducing the pull of OCD in your home.

A note on faith and scrupulosity

For clients experiencing scrupulosity, I offer the option to integrate a Christian or LDS perspective into our work upon request only.

This is always grounded in OCD treatment, not general faith-based counseling, and is tailored to support your values without reinforcing the cycle of doubt.
