Stephanie Kelly, LCSW

Hello, I’m so glad you’re here!

Are you tired of feeling trapped in your thoughts—constantly overanalyzing, checking, or striving to get it “just right”?
Whether you’re an adult trying to quiet relentless self-criticism, or a parent watching your teen struggle with anxiety or OCD, therapy can help you find relief from the cycle of fear and doubt.

At Thrive and Bloom Counseling, you’ll find a compassionate space to untangle perfectionism, intrusive thoughts, and the pressure to perform. Together, we’ll use evidence-based approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and mindfulness-based strategies to help you face fears, tolerate uncertainty, and move toward the life you want. Not the one anxiety dictates.

If your child is navigating OCD or anxiety, you’ll also learn how to support them without accidentally reinforcing their fears, so healing can happen at home, too.

Online therapy for perfectionists, deep feelers and overthinkers—because thriving should feel like freedom, not exhaustion.

About Us

Thrive and Bloom was created with one core belief:

you don’t need to be fixed—you need to be understood.

Therapy here is about helping you quiet the noise of anxiety, perfectionism, and self-doubt so you can reconnect with who you are beneath all the pressure to achieve and please.

This space is for high-functioning adults, parents, tweens and teens who feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, burnout, or obsessive thoughts. Whether you’re navigating OCD, major life transitions, grief, or the constant drive to “do more,” therapy offers a place to pause, reflect, and grow.

Rooted in warmth, humor, and evidence-based care, our work focuses on helping you build clarity, confidence, and self-trust—so you can thrive on your own terms.

Based in Maryland, offering telehealth across the DMV.

What to Expect

At Thrive and Bloom Counseling, therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in your lived experience. You’re not broken—you’re a whole person navigating stress, anxiety, or OCD. Therapy provides a safe space to quiet the inner critic, break unhelpful patterns, and build clarity, courage, and self-trust.

Each session is tailored to your unique goals and needs. Evidence-based approaches, including Exposure and Response Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, somatic techniques, and self-compassion practices, are used flexibly to help you or your child make meaningful, lasting change.

For parents, therapy includes guidance on supporting a teen or young adult with anxiety or OCD without unintentionally reinforcing fears, helping the whole family build healthier patterns.

You can expect thoughtful, responsive, and individualized care. The focus is on reconnecting with resilience, reducing the weight of perfectionism and overthinking, and moving through life with more ease, intention, and self-trust.
